The New York Islanders hosted their first Blue and White Prospect Scrimmage on their new home ice, Wednesday night at Barclay’s Center, in Brooklyn, New York.
Players such as 2015 1st Round Picks Mathew Barzal and Anthony Beauvilier were in attendance, as well as Ryan Pulock, Michael Dal Colle, Joshua Ho Sang, Adam Pelech, Taylor Cammarata and Sebastian Collberg.
Prior to the Scrimmage and Skills Challenge, NY Islanders GM Garth Snow, Barclay’s Center GM Steve Rosebrook and NY Islanders Winger Anders Lee showed the media around the soon to be completed NY Islanders Player Campus located at the Barclay’s Center.
The scrimmage was a brilliant display of two talented squads and high-end offensive and defensive prospects. With the chemistry of the trio of Michael Dal Colle, Mathew Barzal and Sebastian Collberg, the Blue Team defeated the White team 5-3 in the scrimmage. Blue Team Defenseman Ryan Pulock won the Hardest Shot Competition with a 105MPH Slapshot. After the breakaway portion of the skills competition, the Blue team was the victor on the night defeating the White Team 8-3.
The New York Islanders top prospects were on hand this week at the new “Twin Rinks” Ice Center at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow for Prospect Camp.

A great effort by the Tampa Bay Lightning despite numerous injuries to key players, they left everything on the ice and deserve to be recognized for it. Congratulations to both teams on an amazing season, and thank you on behalf of hockey fans everywhere for an entertaining final.
Countdown begins tonight, how many days till training camp?
Saturday afternoon, the visiting Hartford Wolfpack defeated their rival Bridgeport Sound Tigers, in their final regular season game at Webster Bank Arena, 2-1 in regulation.
Saturday’s game started off with a ceremonial puck drop by the Mayor of Bridgeport, Bill Finch. Bridgeport Sound Tiger President, Howard Saffan was also on hand to present the Rookie of the Year Trophy to Bridgeport Sound Tiger Defenseman Ryan Pulock.
The game marked as fan appreciation day, concluded the season with a post game rink-wide autograph signing for the fans.

The visiting Manchester Monarchs shutout the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 4-0 in regulation at Webster Bank Arena, in Bridgeport, CT on Sunday afternoon.
The season-long series between the Sound Tigers and the Monarchs concluded with back-to-back games (4/11 & 4/12), and ended with the Monarchs winning both games sweeping the Sound Tigers for the season, and clinching the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as regular-season champions on Sunday.
Manchester Goaltender Patrik Bartosak stopped all 18-shots he faced for his second shutout of the year. Colin Miller, Kevin Gravel, Michael Mersch and Scott Sabourin all scored for the Monarchs to give them their third-straight win.
